When a gorgeous bride with a "couldn't be nicer" family asked me to create a mirror with a bunch of roses and Christmas greenery around a monogram along with 170+ guests hand lettered, I didn't know what I was getting into until a delivery truck rumbled up to my house and delivered a massive 8' x 4' mirror. I had to literally sit on it and pray not to break it, to paint it. Look through to see process!
The layout of mirror with 170+ lines, flowers and monogram is done in Photoshop, but the real labor of love is sitting on the mirror, (thank God I'm not a pound over what I weigh, as I thought I would break mirror!) with brushes, paint, and hand lettering acrylic pen. Music was on and prayers were said!
The family asked for a "Welcome" mirror as well; I will say this: getting hugs, appreciation, and so many compliments from the bride, her parents, the wedding planner, the coordinator from the Boston Copley Plaza, as well as the florist, certainly outweighed the massive amount of labor that this took! I was one happy bee when I left the Copley, looked around at the beautiful city of Boston I live near, and drove home!
